NICE! Btw, I got the wiring figured out. Let me know if you need a hand, I got pics!

nice... where? can you post a pic of the trailer?

Glad to hear it. These have surge brakes so I can hopefully avoid having to add electric controls. However, these are running 37" tires and the pintle is 4 inches higher than the one bolted to my bumper. I think the only logical solution is 37's for the Land Cruiser.

There's a picture of the trailer above, unless I'm misunderstanding you.

I may or may not have read "hopefully I win" as "I hope I win."

Just get a 4 inch drop ball and turn it over. That's what I do.

Don't have the luxury, my pintle hitch is hard mounted to my bumper...
![]() 04/18/2014 at 18:45 |
|
But isn't it a receiver style so you can change types of hitches?
![]() 04/18/2014 at 18:50 |

The bottom on is, but I can run a riser hitch up because it would hit my hard mounted pintle hitch. I have two hitches mounted at once. Kinda hard to see in the pic but I circled the hard mounted pintle. The aluminum drop hitch is in the 2" receiver.

Gotcha.

more lift on the truck is more fun anyway. Plus matching military tires will look badass.

By military tires, what do you mean? Pic? I like that spare tire cover.

The trailer I'm bidding on uses HMMWV tires and wheels as its meant to be towed by a HMMWV. One of the mods on my short list is to buy some cheap 37" mil surplus tires for my truck as well.
Fabbed the whole bumper myself from scratch including the spare tire cover.

thanks, these trucks get too expensive if you start buying too many off the shelf parts!
